The World Series of Poker (WSOP) announced today its full 2017 48th Annual World Series of Poker schedule, featuring 74 events and culminating in the Main Event on July 8.
The 2017 series from from May 30 to July 18 at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino features several new events:
The first of these, Event #2: $10,000 Tag Team No-Limit Hold’em Championship, kicks off the opening weekend alongside the $565 Casino Employees No-Limit Hold’em. This event has a $10,000 buy-in per team with two to four people on each team. Players will register together for this new event.
The second new event, Event #8: $333 WSOP.com ONLINE No-Limit Hold’em, has unlimited reentry and the entire event is played online at WSOP.com Nevada. This event begins June 3.
Event #19: THE GIANT – $365 No-Limit Hold’em starts June 9 and has a $365 buy-in and unlimited reentry with payouts every flight and weekly Day 1 flights and a Day 2 restart July 8.
Event #23: THE MARATHON – $2,620 No-Limit Hold’em has players starting with 26,200 in chips and 100-minute levels, starting on June 12 and running five days.
Event #39: $1,000 No-Limit Hold’em Super Turbo BOUNTY starts June 20 and has 20-minute levels and bounties on each player worth $300.
Continuing this new trend of tournament events is Event #59: $2,500 Big Bet Mix with Big O, No-Limit Hold’em, No-Limit 2-7 Lowball Draw, Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo, 8 or Better, No-Limit 5 Card Draw, Pot-Limit Omaha, 2-7 Pot-Limit and Lowball Triple Draw. This event kicks off June 30 and brags a $2,500 buy-in.
Event #61: $3,333 WSOP.com ONLINE No-Limit Hold’em High Roller is also played entirely online at WSOP.com Nevada, similar with the $333 event, and has unlimited reentry.
Event #64: $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em/Pot-Limit Omaha 8-Handed Mix starts July 3 with a $1,500 buy-in.
Some staple events back on the schedule include the Millionaire Maker (June 10 – June 11) and the Little One for One Drop No-Limit Hold’em (July 11 – July 13), Monster Stack (June 24 – June 25), Seniors No-Limit Hold’em Championship and Super Seniors No-Limit Hold’em (June 16, June 18) and the Ladies No-Limit Hold’em Championship (July 7).copysource:
