TV/RADIO SCHEDULE: Fox will broadcast the race on TV and has a pre-race show beginning at 5:30 p.m. ET. Performance Radio Network and Sirius/XM Radio will call the race on the radio.
SEGMENTS: Beginning this season, NASCAR is dividing every race into segments and awarding one bonus point to the winner of each stage. Segment lengths will be different for every race, but the series announced earlier this month that the Coca-Cola 600 will have four segments instead of three.
Also, the top 10 finishers of the first segments will be awarded regular-season points in descending order from 10 to 1. Here are the segments for the Coca-Cola 600: Stage 1: 100 laps; Stage 2: 100 laps; Stage 3: 100 laps, Stage 4: 100 laps.
NATIONAL ANTHEM/FLYOVER: The 82nd Airborne Division All-American Chorus will perform the national anthem at 6:03 p.m., with the flyover by four F-15’s from Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.
Just a week after winning the Monster Energy NASCAR All-Star Race, Kyle Busch will look for continued success at Charlotte Motor Speedway as he pursues a spot in the playoffs. Busch will line up second alongside pole-sitter and three-time track winner Kevin Harvick, who is seeking his first win of the season.
The 400-lap race is set to begin at 6 p.m. ET on Fox. You can watch the race on Fox through your local cable provider or stream it through FoxSportsGo.com or the Fox Sports Go app.
Pre-race will include a performance of “God Bless the U.S.A.” by Lee Greenwood with the 82nd Airborne Chorus Group handling the national anthem followed by a special Memorial Day weekend flyover featuring four F-15 fighter jets.
Last year’s winner Martin Truex Jr. is a co-favorite alongside Kyle Busch with 11/2 odds. Meanwhile, 2013 winner Brad Keselowski is listed at 6/1, according to Bovada. Both Truex Jr. and Keselowski have been red-hot this season, clinching playoff spots with two wins each.
